The Lone Ranger

Just last week, I went to catch 'Monsters' University' proudly sponsored by Nuffnang
and this time, I may be able to catch the latest Johnny Depp's film - The Lone Ranger.

I'm always very excited to watch Johnny Depp's film as he's such a drama.
Not only was he humorous, he had that sort of personality which suits every character he's acting on.

While I was sitting in the cinema, waiting for all the trailers to go on before MU was being played, they showed The Lone Ranger's trailer.
I didn't think it's gonna be great show as Johnny Depp wasn't in his usual humorous character
but, what excited me was what is the entire movie trying to imply on.
I don't quite get what is the movie trying to show me while watching the trailer being played, but, in order to support Johnny Depp, I told myself i'm so gonna watch this film while it's airing in the cinema.

I'm really looking forward to how will the movie be produced as the production was as of the team that brought us “PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN”!

A little synopsis on the film:
"A American Indian spirit warrior, Tonto (Depp), recounts the untold tales that transformed John Reid (Hammer), a man of the law, into a legend of justice. The two unlikely heroes must learn to work together and fight against greed and corruption"

Starring, nevertheless, Johnny Depp, Armie Hammer, Tom Wilkinson, William Fichtner, Barry Pepper, James Badge Dale, Ruth Wilson and Helena Bonham Carter.

Here's the trailer, if you're eager to know what is the movie like

Catch Disney’s “The Lone Ranger” in Singapore cinemas this 4 July 2013!

SG HAZE

As many Singaporeans have known,
ever since last Saturday, our country has been engulfed with thick 'smoke' known as 'HAZE'.

Personally speaking,
I was having that vey same thought when haze started to appear and linger around Singapore as this isn't the first time that Singapore was hit by black 'smoke'.

But, as days goes, the thick smoke is seriously getting thicker and darker.
That's when I started to follow the news every single day.
To my astonishment,
on Wednesday, we've hit the highest PSI record to date.
It's known that the previous high of 226 was recorded in September 1997 according to the news and on Wednesday, we've hit a record of 371.

You can read the article.

But, the readings didn't end here.
It continued to reach a record of 400 as of 11am, today.
You couldn't actually see the next block clearly like I used to.

The 'murder' for all these 'unexpected' incident was caused by the poor management of Indonesia government.
Have a look at all the mass you've made which caused lots of people, especially the young and elderly, to suffer from breathing difficulties and pose asthma attacks for some people.
(Article I)

Finally, our Prime Minister steps up to speak for his citizens.
Aritcle

Not only Singapore was affected, even Malaysia was one of the victim as well
(As we're neighbours, remember :P)
Causing schools to be closed due to the haze. (Article)

Some schools, in Singapore, has stopped all outdoor activities or events.
As for myself, I used wet towels to cover the windows so that at least the haze won't get blown in to my house.
And I started to wear mask while going out.

As of 4pm,
Look at what I've seen through my house windows.

(A difference of 6hrs)
I was shocked and ecstatic and I tweeted

I was really very happy and the PSI was 145 as of 4pm.
Finally we get to see clear sky after the arduous 6days tortured by the haze.
That's when I came across this article, from CNA.
Maybe this is what that helps to subside the haze.

(While typing, the vision wasn't that cleared already)

(I totally went speechless)

Disney•Pixar’s “Monsters University"

Hi readers,
have you read about my views on Shiseido's latest Spring/Summer Collection Trend 2013 ??
If you haven't, the posts are just after this very post(:
*I know this line is random

Actually, my main purpose for today's post is this

Do you guys still rememeber that they were once our childhood movie ??!!
Monsters, Inc was once my favourite movie while I was a primary school kid.
I'll never forget how Sulley would piss off Mike and trying to 'boo' the little girl.

Isnt it wonderful to revive back the movie ??!!
Well, you should be over-the-moon as Monsters, Inc is back with another series...

Monsters University

*HURRAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mike and Sulley are back!
This time you’ll meet even more friends of all shapes, colours and sizes from the monster world as we go back in time to their college days.
In fact, we'll go back all the way to where it all began if you've ever wondered how Mike and Sulley first met.

Look forward to the thrills and diversity of university life in this movie, from prestigious academic programs offered by various faculties such as the School of Scaring, to the myriad of sports, clubs and societies.
Mike Wazowski’s (voice of Billy Crystal) lifelong dreams of becoming a Scarer are derailed during his first semester at Monsters University when he crosses paths with hotshot James P. Sullivan, “Sulley” (voice of John Goodman), and their out-of-control competitive spirit gets them both kicked out of the University’s elite Scare Program.

You may wanna catch a glimpse of the trailer

Shiseido Professional Spring Summer 2013 Trend Collection Event ~ Part 2

Hi readers,
I apologized for the lack of posts up for the past months
If you do follow my twitter, I busy with my hectic schedule during work and, right now, I managed to get time-off to update on my previous 'cut-short' post for Shiseido's Event.

Everytime when there's an event, of course there's gonna be a show for the viewers.
Shiseido has put up a hair show for us using their latest hair products.

If you remembered what I've said in my previous post,
Mr Toyota, together with his colleague, Mr Yoshiyuki Takahashi, will be demonstrating the latest hair style for us(:

Before that, let's welcome Mr Takahashi-san.

A little biography on Mr Takahashi-san

Mr Takahashi worked actively as a stylist with No. 1 sales at the Shiseido Beauty Salon. After being selected as an Academy member, he transferred to Shiseido Beauty Creation Research Center where he is currently active as a hair and makeup artist. Aside from being involved in collections and photo shoots, he conducts hair shows and seminars for both domestic and throughout Asia such as Malaysia, Singapore, China, Hong Kong, and Thailand. He is also engaged in the development of hair products and educational software.

First up, Mr Toyota's work-of-art.

He uses the latest hair product called the Damp Jelly to style the model's hair.
Actually, the truth is, he uses a wig for that shiny look *lol
(left pic)
Next, he uses a special mousse that's not sticky and air-free throughout the day.

This mousse is super air-free and 'bouncy', at the same time.
*Shall review this special mousse at the end of my post xP

Lastly, it's Mr Takahashi-san's showtime.

*the above hair look was done using the same mousse.

The final transformation created by our hair stylists.
*thanks for looking over xD

At the end of the presentation,
we were given a chance to grab a picture with Mr Toyota and Mr Takahashi.
*Felt super honoured
*Pity for the model who was blocked by Mr Toyota-san)x

Throughout the entire event, the best part was getting to meet new and fabulous friends♥♥

*Bottom right
Janelle from Shiseido - thanks for inviting me over♥

And before I go off, I shall review the 'special mousse' which I've kept till now
*thought that I have forgotten about it right?!

*TADA

It's called the Stage Work Air Feel Wave/Motion for different types of hair.
The texture is light, weightless (which explains the picture above) and non-sticky.
Mr Toyota mentioned that this mousse is able to hold the hairstyle throughout the day without weighing too much on your hair and it's 100% definitely suitable in humid countries like Singapore.

During Q&A session, Mr Takahashi said that mousse is best applied on dry hair.
So, if you have the habit of bathing before going out, you will have to blow/dry-clean your hair before applying it to style your hair.

Finally, all this sums up for Shiseido's event.
Hope you've enjoyed reading like me enjoying writing this posts for you♥
